FREE Lego Build 3/1/11!

The first Tuesday of every month Lego Stores offer a FREE Build Event. The project for March is a cute little Lego bird. Kids ages 6–14 get to build the Lego bird and then get to take it home with them. The event starts at 5:00 p.m. while supplies last.

If your son is like mine, he'll be happy for any FREE Legos he can get! You can find a Lego store near you by checking onlin and be sure to call your store and make sure they are participating.

GM Arlington Assembly Plant is home of the Chevrolet Tahoe, Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon & Cadillac Escalade. Tours available on first-come, first-served basis.

Plant tour times:
11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. & 5:45 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2 & Thursday, Feb. 3

Proper shoes required. No high heels or open-toed shoes. All are welcome. Children 7 and older allowed in manufacturing area. Registration required in the welcome/registration tent onsite. Enter GM Assembly Plant through Gate 6 off Abram Street.

Displays open from 11am to 8pm Wednesday-Thursday, Feb. 2 & 3.

Dallas Children's Theater: "Pay What You Can" Tickets!

The Dallas Children's Theater is having a "Pay What You Can" Preview night of "The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs!" The Preview Night is this Thursday, Jan. 20 at 7:30 p.m. with the box office opening at 6:30 p.m. The tickets are first come-first serve.

Dallas Zoo Dollar Day & FREE Aquarium Admission!

WOW! It's Dollar Day at the Dallas Zoo! Tuesday, November 23 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Thanks to Metro PCS, the Dallas Zoo is offering $1 admission all day. Also, look for dollar deals on food and gifts throughout the park. Take the DART Red Line straight to the Dallas Zoo entrance to avoid the traffic and save the $7 per car parking fee.

Here are some fun FREE events for you and your kids this weekend!

Disney Halloween Dress Rehearsal Party Disney Store locations invite princesses and cowboys to get in the Halloween spirit at a spook-tacular event promising games, fun, and a costume parade. Kids ages three and up who wear a costume receive a FREE gift (while supplies last). The event is limited to a maximum of 50 children per session. Lineup is not allowed prior to 30 minutes before the event begins. Fri, Oct. 22 at 4:30 p.m. & 6 p.m.; Sat, Oct. 23 at 11 a.m. & 12:30 p.m. at Disney Stores.

Toys 'R' Us is having a Lego 'Bricktober' event that your little boys won't want to miss! Build a FREE Lego race car along with a Lego driver's license! This event takes place at Toys 'R' Us stores on Sat. Oct. 23 from 12-2 p.m.

Two FREE events going on at Toys "R" Us tomorrow! First, Chuggington pulls into Toys "R" Us 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, October 16. My friends with little boys love Chuggington!

At this FREE event, you will see the newest Chuggers, enjoy story time, coloring and giveaways.

Next is the Disney Princess and Me event Saturday, October 16, 2 p.m.-4 p.m. Join Toys "R" Us for a Disney Princess & Me Royal Event. Decorate your own tiara, learn your princess personality and enjoy a Disney Princess Story. This event is intended for children, ages 3 & up.

Local event: FREE Pumpkin Patch!

FREE Pumpkin Patch in Frisco this Saturday! This sounds like a super fun activity- a definite must-do for our family!

Head to the Dr. Pepper Ballpark on Saturday, October 2nd from 11-1 p.m. They are boasting the most unique pumpkin patch in Texas! FREE face painting, bounce houses, and more!

You will also be able to pick your own Jack-O-Latern sized pumpkin from the outfield patch and take it home for only $3!

There's a FREE Hilary Weeks concert at Cherry Hill tomorrow night! This will take place Friday, Aug. 20 9 p.m.-10 p.m. Seating is provided. What a nice way to relax on a summer night.

Kennecott Copper Mine- FREE admission days in July!

FREE admission to see the Kennecott Utah Copper’s Bingham Canyon Mine Visitors Center, July 16-25! If you have never seen the Copper Mine with your family, here's your chance. Mark your calendars for this, because every passenger car and mini van gets in for FREE!

This is a really rare offer, so I'd take advantage of seeing one of Utah's most famous landmarks with your families. My kids love the Copper Mine, just to see the size of the huge tires of the trucks is worth the trip.

Treehouse Museum FREE tomorrow!

The Treehouse Museum in Ogden is holding a FREE admission Saturday tomorrow. This seems like a great activity to get out of the rain! Last year we attended a FREE Saturday and they gave us tickets to come back for FREE on a Friday night. (These Friday nights are a lot less crowded, by the way.)

Other FREE activites tomorrow are on this RAMP FREE Summer Saturdays list. Another great freebie tomorrow is the Ogden Nature Center.

(P.S. Have you seen the 'Happy Owl' at the Ogden Nature Center? That's what my son calls him- it's pretty hilarious when you imagine a smile on the owl's face!)

On Monday, May 31, the Treehouse Museum is offering FREE admission for all military families! If you've never been to the Treehouse Museum, you will want to stop by when you are in Ogden. There's even a coloring page here that may be printed and is good for $1 off a kid's admission.

There are even more FREE admission days for the Treehouse Museum coming up this summer. Saturday, June 12 is FREE admission day for everyone, and Saturday, June 19 is FREE admission for all Dads in honor of Father's Day!
