(WARNING: All sugar and fat ahead!) My mom gave me this recipe and I make it every Christmas now- without fail!
Here's the easiest caramel recipe you'll ever come across:
Caramels
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. white sugar
1 1/2 c. light corn syrup
1 1/2 c. butter (no imitations)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan and heat to 235 degrees. (No more, no less.) Stir constantly. Pour into large cookie sheet to cool. Cut into squares and wrap in wax paper squares. Enjoy!
